iVentures10 is a new kind of intern program for computer science students with a great idea for a software or web based start-up company.  During the 10 week program, student teams will develop their idea into a working prototype and lay the groundwork to launch their start-up. 

Seeking brilliant, entrepreneurially minded students. We want to fund entrepreneurial teams of 2 to 4 people interested in starting a company around their big idea. 

From idea to prototype in 10 weeks.  Sponsored by IllinoisVENTURES, iVentures10 is a new type of intern program designed to fuel the entrepreneurial energy and ingenuity of computer science/engineering students.  If you are accepted, you will receive guidance and capital to help your software or web services start-up company get off the ground.

No business plan required.  iVentures10 is not a business plan competition.  The program focuses on building your product.  Sure, we will go through the basics of your business model to ensure that the idea has the potential to go to the moon. However, our focus will be on getting stuff done versus writing a fictional business plan.  At the end of the 10 week program, you will be able to demo your product to potential investors, customers and employees!

NEW! We have partnered with Mozilla Labs to give our teams unique access to emerging open Web technology platforms. Mozilla will provide development advice and support as well as potentially promoting the resulting applications to millions of potential users worldwide for that teams that build upon the open Web
